Welcome to Two Peas In A Pod Cafe & Catering, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Vancouver at 1426 W 8th Ave. This charming café is not just a place to grab a bite; it's a sanctuary for matcha lovers and a cozy retreat for anyone seeking a tasty experience combined with a warm community vibe.

This cafe is particularly notable for its artistic approach to matcha. The team artfully crafts their beverages using only the finest ceremonial matcha and hojicha powders sourced directly from Japan. Here, you can indulge in a variety of options: from the robust Classic Ceremonial Matcha priced at CA$55.00 to the exquisite Uji Hikari Reserve Matcha, which goes for CA$79.00. Not only can you enjoy these drinks white-gloved in beautiful cups, but you can also revel in the ethereal taste that each sip offers. For a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up, the Iced Matcha Latte options deliver a cool yet invigorating experience starting at just CA$7.25.

The ambiance of Two Peas In A Pod is equally enchanting. With a dog-friendly patio, as noted by satisfied patrons who appreciate thoughtful touches like complimentary water bowls for their furry companions, this café radiates a pure sense of community and care. The warmth extends beyond the service — the owners, Justin and Josie, are known for their friendly demeanor, and customers have commented on how they remember their names, transforming a standard café visit into a personalized encounter.

Customers rave about their experiences, with one enthusiast stating, “By far the best matcha I’ve had,” and meticulously describing their enjoyment of the Roku Matcha. The café's weekend pop-up events featuring Emeri's matcha have also received high praise, with patrons reporting short wait times for phenomenal matcha experiences that have spoiled them for other cafés. Regular visitors note that it quickly becomes their go-to spot, thanks to the lively atmosphere and the thrill of trying rotating matcha offerings.

For those seeking more than just beverages, the café serves an array of delicious food items, including scrumptious sandwiches like the turkey prosciutto or hearty beef sandwich, as well as comforting bowl of turkey soup. Each dish is crafted with the same level of care as their matcha drinks, promising a meal that warms both the heart and soul.

If you find yourself in Vancouver, don’t just pass by — Two Peas In A Pod is waiting to welcome you with open arms and exceptional flavors. Come for the matcha, stay for the community, and leave with unforgettable memories and a content heart!

Came for emeri’s weekend pop up and will definitely be coming back! By far the best matcha I’ve had, great service, and the owners Justin and Josie were so friendly. I love that you get to watch them make it and they help you to pick a flavour that suits you. I recommend the Roku Matcha - it was awesome!

Lovely service and delicious food! We got their turkey soup, beef sandwich and turkey prosciutto sandwich. They have a dog friendly patio and even gave our puppy a water bowl and little treat

Perfect Morning Spot Stumbled across this spot before work and now it’s my go-to. Great coffee, solid WiFi, and the owners remember your name — rare these days! It’s got that “local favorite” energy. Grab a seat outside under the umbrellas, enjoy the sun, and just relax. Support local — they deserve it.

Yeah you're right. This is where Emeri Matcha is. It’s a weekend-only pop-up from 8 to 4 I believe. I came around 3pm, waited about 15–20 minutes, which honestly isn’t bad considering every matcha cafe in Vancouver seems to have a line. I got the classic matcha with oat milk (default, I think). Even though they said it’s on the lighter side, it was quite strong for me. Imo, great quality and reasonably priced. Taste-wise, it’s similar to Paragon’s, but Paragon gives 16oz for just a few cents more compared to Emeri’s 12oz. I’ll definitely be back to try the other two on the menu. Another highlight is their staff, so friendly and genuinely kind. They kept thanking everyone in line for waiting and for visiting the pop-up, over and over. It’s a small gesture, but it really made me feel appreciated and welcomed. A lot of cafes skip this when they’re swamped during openings, which is understandable, but it stood out here

I went for Emeri’s special pop up on the weekends! Its gets super busy so best to come early when it opens. I liked their opal hojicha and classic matcha.

Came here for emeri’s matcha weekend pop up a few times now and it’s actually the best matcha I’ve ever had!! I’ve tried all 3 of their rotating ones - the Roku and Okawari are especially flavourful and just so good. Only problem is that all other matcha is effectively ruined now! Can’t wait to go back this weekend
